Park Śląski has plenty of attractions and the cable car is one of them. The bird’s eye view is great. I recommend it to anyone who has not been there yet, and come and read the report, where you will see a few of my photos.
You can board at Śląskie Wesołe Miasteczko or at Stadion Śląski. There is not much of a crowd, and you buy tickets from the machines.
The whole route is 2.2 km and the ride takes 15 minutes. You choose between a four-seat open bench and an eight-seat gondola. I would go for the bench. No roof makes the ride more fun, and you get a better shot at nice photos. Heading toward Stadion Śląski, take the seats closest to the left side. Nothing blocks the view then. On the way back toward Wesołe Miasteczko the same seats are not as good. A lot of trees stand in the way and there are fewer chances for an interesting photo, and there will certainly be more of them on the other side.

One way costs 8 PLN for anyone under 16, and a normal ticket costs 10 PLN. A return ticket is 12 PLN reduced and 15 PLN normal. On paper the math is simple, the return ticket pays off. Still, think about whether one ride, the one from Wesołe Miasteczko to Stadion Śląski, is not enough on its own. With a return ticket you can get off, go for a walk and come back to use the second leg, but then keep an eye on the cable car timetable.
If you are in Silesia as a tourist, Park Śląski and the cable car deserve a visit. In fact I think everyone should try it, all the more so because the price is not steep. :)
